My Hopeful Future Plans

Just around the corner from my house is a house in foreclosure that I'm thinking about purchasing (with the inital help from my parents but with me making the payments). It's no Magnolia Plantation, but it has 2.5 acres, completely fenced, with plenty of room for a large garden and some livestock. The house itself needs a little repair but I figure that would be a good way to spend my free time for the next 2 and half years until I'm 18. Besides how many 15 year olds can say they own their own house! And hopefully by the time I'm 18, it will be paid off or atleast close to it!

This is my truck. I finished paying for it 2 years ago and I'm looking forward to not having a truck payment when I turn 16. My parents taught me good stewardship to which I am very thankful. Thanks mom and dad.

I'm also excited to start working with my dad in his new business next month. He will still be firefighting on the 24\48 shift but on his days off we will be working together on his new entreprenuerial adventure. This is cool because it means that I only have to do school every third day! Yeah! But it's also cool because I will be learning A LOT of new trades that will help me in a failing economy.

Speaking of a failing economy...when I'm not doing school, or remodling my house, or working with my dad on his new business...my family will be working on our new farm raising chickens, dairy cows, goats, steer, hogs, planting a very large garden, and MANY other things to help us become more self-sufficient during the coming economic crisis. Here's a picture of our first fig tree!
Well that's it! That's my hopeful future plans. I pray God will continue to bless them.

An awesome song by Diamond Rio!!!

This is my new favorite song!!! It is a song that we always need to keep in mind. Also, this song is not allowed to be played on the radio, because they labled it "Pollitically Incorrect"

What a mayhaw is.

A mayhaw is a berry that only grows once a year (Usually during the early summer monthes) They are really tart if you just eat them plain, but they make AMAZING jelly. They usually grow by creeks and rivers because of the mouisture. And technically a mayhaw is not a berry, a mayhaw looks like a berry though, so I call it a berry. But a mayhaw is just a mayhaw. If that makes ANY sense at all. :)
